How to plan your perfect trip for the open road

So you’ve decided that now is the time to go on your dream RV vacation that has always been at the back of your mind. You have imagined it hundreds of times…the open road…the great outdoors…total freedom…its going to be great!

However, you have to take certain things into consideration before you go rushing off to rent or buy an RV. If you don’t do the right planning before your trip then it could easily turn into a full blown nightmare once you are on the road.  So what kind of things should you be thinking about before you set off on your RV vacation?

Detailed Planning

The thought of the open road can sometimes just make you want to take off in an RV without any planning at all. In reality it really does make sense to plan your route carefully and take into consideration where you will be staying at night. The last thing you want to be doing after a day at the wheel is driving around for hours in the dark looking for somewhere to stay.

Travel Companions

It might seem like a good idea to invite your hyperactive friend to join you and your family on the RV vacation, but these things have the potential to go wrong. Remember that you will be spending many hours with them in a confined space and sometimes it can get to the point where somebody else becomes unbearable!

What To Take

Make sure you are prepared for any situation with items such as a first aid kit, roadside repair kit and flares.

Consider taking some activities for when things get boring such as a pack of playing cards, board games, some great books or maybe some sports equipment for the outdoors.

Time To Hit The Road?

With a little prior planning your RV vacation could end up being one of the most rewarding trips that you will ever take. In fact there is only one question left to ask…what are you waiting for?
